New Mexico

In the back of my store cupboard I came across this painting of the
Picuris Pueblo. The day we spent there was fascinating. The Picuris
people were delighted that I was prepared to pay the $25 for
permission to draw and paint. Sitting there drawing the scene above,
a mini tornado thingy whipped across the square sending sketch pad
flying and mouth and eyes were full of dust.
The next morning I had to visit a doctor to get treatment for my
eye.
The joys of working outdoors.
